The documentary Fantastique by director Marjolijn Prins will have its world premiere at the Locarno Kids Screenings of the prestigious Locarno Film Festival (6–16 August). The film is about 14-year-old Fanta from Guinea-Conakry, who works in a circus group while caring for her sick mother and going to school. She trains for a major acrobatics show, but begins to doubt her dream. The film is produced by Serendipity Films, VraiVrai Films, The Film Kitchen and Stenola Productions, with support from the VAF/Film Fund. "Fantastique" will be shown at the Locarno Film Festival.
