The fifth edition of Open Cinema will take place from September 26 to October 4, 2026. Twenty-four arthouse cinemas, film houses, and cultural centers from Flanders and Brussels are participating, spread across 21 cities and municipalities. The initiative originated in 2022 and has grown into an annual event at the start of the film season. Visitors are introduced to new films, rare titles, and inspiring programs. Depending on the location, there are introductions, post-screening discussions, and guided tours. At most locations, adjusted rates or a buy-one-get-one-free offer apply. Open Cinema is supported by the Public Department of the VAF.
