Andrea Pallaoro returns to the competition at the Venice Film Festival with The Echo Chamber. The Italian-Belgian co-production adapts the final screenplay by Bernardo Bertolucci, which he wrote together with Ilaria Bernardini and Ludovica Rampoldi. The film tells a love story in which the boundaries between presence and absence, care and dependence, and desire and control blur. Luca Marinelli, Alicia Vikander, and Susan Sarandon star. Cinematography is by Diego García and the original music is by Clément Ducol. The Italian release is scheduled for September 10 via 01 Distribution. Paradise City Sales handles international sales.
