Achero Mañas returns behind the camera with AMA, a contemporary love story based on La Historia de los Tarantos, a 1962 play by his father Alfredo Mañas, in which the Romeo and Juliet conflict shifts from family feuds to class differences in present-day Madrid. Dora and Gerard Larrondo star, while the shoot takes place on an iPhone 17 Pro Max because Mañas wants to maintain maximum freedom and the actors play their music live on set. The soundtrack is coordinated by Diego Postigo, featuring songs by Dora and Alice Wonder. AMA is a co-production of Wanda Visión and Saga Film.
