Paris, Paris has been selected for the Proxima competition of the Karlovy Vary Festival, which comprises twelve films focusing on progressive and surprising cinema. The film is set in Paris and a Chinese replica of the city, where Yi-en, Junior, and Palestinian refugee Hamzah share a squatted apartment after fleeing China and Congo, respectively. They share meager possessions, memories, and jokes about their uncertain future, while the film transforms these personal stories into a political allegory about displacement, the meaning of home, and how a constantly changing world shapes fragile bodies and memories.
