At the Annecy Animation Festival, **The Violinist** won the top prize, the Cristal for Best Feature Film, beating competitors such as **In Waves**, **Viva Carmen**, and **Iron Boy**, which had previously impressed at Cannes. **Iron Boy** nevertheless took home three other awards, while Don Hertzfeldt won the award for Best Short Film.
