Kristof Bilsen's new documentary **The Apologist** has been selected for Sheffield DocFest (June 10–15), where he also had his world premiere with **MOTHER** in 2019. The film explores the transformative power of apologies by connecting intimate reflection, performance, and ritual, where continents and events that seemingly have nothing in common converge around the question of how people live with the scars of shared violence. Bilsen wrote the screenplay, directed, and produced the film for Limerick Films, in co-production with Tangerine Tree, Warboys Films, and Wrong Men, with support from the VAF/Filmfonds.
