Director Cecilia Verheyden presents her third feature film, "Skiff," at the Ostend Film Festival. The film, in which she also co-wrote her screenplay for the first time, explores the complex journey of gender and identity for fifteen-year-old rower Malou, played by Femke Vanhove. Verheyden, who previously focused on male protagonists, now focuses on the inner development of a young woman. The film contains autobiographical elements and uses color and sound to add emotional layers. The premiere received positive reviews.
